The flag of Canada, a red stylized maple leaf with 11 points at the centre of a white background and vertical red bands on the left and right side, not only represents the cultural heritage of the nation but also symbolizes hope, peace, tranquillity, and neutrality dominant in the country.

Ewing Buchan’s version of the National Anthem ''O Canada'' was considered for the Diamond Jubilee of Confederation in 1927 and was one of the first English versions of the national anthem, written in 1908 from a house at 1114 Barclay Street in Vancouver’s West End (now a bed & breakfast). He wrote it in the parlour, accompanied by his daughter on piano.
